Meet the chickens. We have four new ladies in our lives, we're still working on names but Emma named the white one Harriet, the black/white one is Millie, and I'm thinking that red one is gonna be Betty. I'm open to suggestions though especially because I can't seem to think of a good 'Farm girl' name for that solid black chicken.
They should be laying (if all goes according to plan) in the next month or so. Emma is so brave to open the pen door right up and go in to feed them our table scraps (bread crust, watermelon rinds, leftover lettuce etc).
Gotta love Craigslist in Southern Utah!
so fun!!! There are a TON of people in our neighborhood that have chickens, looks like a lot of fun. As for your black beauty, I think you should have something totally different than a country name, like Ellenor or something fancy like that! :) She sure does stand out! can't wait to meet them!
