Dearest Mr. Man,
At eight months you are sitting up on your own for 20+ minutes at a time. We still prop pillows all around you but you'll entertain yourself for a respectable amount of time.
You are old enough to need toys and entertainment when we travel or go to church. Emma is in charge of packing a toy or two for you along with hers. The two of you will swap toys and share during Sacrament meeting.

| Week 29: Can you see the fur baby in the play room? |
I've seen you lose your temper over your lack of mobility. It frustrates you when you get left behind in a room while everybody else wanders off to do something else.
 |
Week 29: Happy as can be
 |
| Week 30: Eating noodles at Grandparent's house. |
|
You're obsessed with blowing raspberries. Drenched shirts and squishy/squinty faces all day long.
 |
| Week 30: Blowing Raspberries at Grandparent's House |
You gesture towards everything. You use your arm and point at people, animals, and things. The thoughts you are processing are evident on your face. I think you are a very thoughtful person, meaning you seem to have the talent of observation and thorough thought.

| Week 30: Squinty smile emerges |
 |
| Week 31: Playing piano with Grandpa |
You no longer automatically fall asleep in the car now. Before it was a given that if I started the engine you'd close your eyes and take a snooze. Now you're big enough to stick to your 2-3 naps a day. Car trips are still fun though, you think Sister is super amazing and really funny. So I hear the two of you laughing at each other while traveling to the store etc.

| Week 31: Entertaining yourself with sister's toys |
There are no signs of teeth yet. Also, I keep waiting to write on here we've put your 3 month clothing away but alas, it's still out and still fits. I'm not complaining about the money I save on clothes for you. I just keep mental tabs of how I haven't dealt with the heartache of putting those precious baby clothes away in a long time!
 |
| Week 31: At the Doctor's office, still small. |
 |
| Week 31: still love your sister |
You are getting 'so big'. And by big I mean you are hitting your milestones and looking older, not physically bigger. I think your intake of solid food has improved leaps and bounds and you whine like a tea kettle when you want a bite of something.
 |
| Week 32: Helping with Laundry |
Your favorite place to be is outside. You love the breeze, the rain drops, the sunshine. You LOVE the neighbor's horse. We go over to the fence and you about jump out of my arms when you see the horse. You jump, squeal, and fidget to get close enough to touch.
