Happy Birthday my 3 year old! I've collected a few memories this past week, because you are growing so fast I don't want to forget the little things. I love how you make us smile and laugh. I love how you are naturally sweet. I also love how you look forward to being a big sister. Emma you will always be our favorite first child ;) You will always keep us on our toes. And tantrum or no tantrum we will always love you. 

Dancing with Daddy.

• You love to make up songs: “Mommy, Daddy are the one” “I love horses, black are my favorite, they eat grass and poo in the grass...wait! They EAT the grass...that’s gross”

Wagon Ride.

• You love to Help: “Can I help you [with] anything?” 

Out on the farm: wagon ride.

• You can open the fridge by yourself, take your dirty dishes to the sink, move your stool around to see almost anything in any room. Some of your chores include putting silverware away, feeding Zoe, brushing your teeth, and putting your laundry in the correct drawers.  

 *       You love to color, read books, dance, play with Zoe, do the dishes, and swim. 

Time of your life: horse ride.

*        Some of your bad habits right now: “No!” “Why or Why Not?” (repeated 4 times) You flap your arms and screech when you’re upset. Time outs are the end of the world and you kick and scream all the way to the corner.

• You are really into pretend play right now. You are often found talking to your toys and taking them on grand adventures. At church the other day you used your “mommy” doll to yell at your my little pony toy. “Pony, get in the corner, it’s time for time out!” -mommy doll “Muaw hahahaha!” Now I know how you really feel about me as your Mother!

*        You love to put your stuffed animals in time out. Sometimes you forget about them and I find Eeyore in the corner hours later. 

After nap surprise!

• You have some Hello Kitty toys and I recently discovered you call it “how many kitty”.

An unwrapping pro.

• For the past 2 months you’ve been calling me ‘Mom’ and just recently started calling for ‘Dad’ vs. daddy. I’m a little torn about this one. Maybe when the baby starts talking you’ll revert back to the sweet baby titles of Mommy and Daddy. We will see. 

Daddy tried to snag a ride.

*          You are so smart, too smart really. You know many of the basic shapes, all the normal colors, and all the letters and their sounds, you have been counting 1-10 for 6 months, we are working on getting all the way to 20 but you seem to love 13 so much you will throw it in a few extra times: 10, 13, 11, 13, 12, 13!
