If a Picture Paints a Thousand Words...

I have a confession:

I’ve never been very pleased with the way my wedding photos came out. Perhaps I had high expectations coming from Utah where the choices in photographers were limitless. I was expecting those glamor shots with the sun shining behind the bride in an angelic way, or titled angles that make the photo just POP. None-the-less, I’ve found my wedding pictures that have been packed in storage and started playing in Picasa.

I spent a solid 3 hours using the different techniques that are free and thought I should just post what I’ve done. There are several from the Wedding and reception but I got so excited I branched out before I even finished-hence-the randomness.

Some of the Techniques are very subtle but compared to the originals I can see the difference and that is really what counts.

I must say it’s been more fun to doctor my own photos and turn it into an art than if my photographer had done it herself...I see a future hobby in the making! Something tells me I’m gonna have to start saving for a new camera...

  1. I have to confess, I don't love my wedding pics either, I'll have to put them to work on Picasa/picnik too. I love the stuff they have. Your pictures look beautiful though; all of them!
