me

I enjoyed this QUIZ, give it a try!

You're a Harmonizer. You're organized and know how to keep lots of balls in the air! You like it best when everything's going according to plan. Reliable and trustworthy, you seek harmony and balance in your life. You forge strong, long-lasting friendships, and your friends value your honesty and frank opinions. You tend to value routine and security.Sometimes life can get on top of you and it seems like you're on your own. Don't forget that your friends are always there for you, and will offer all the support you need. Don't give in to your natural tendency to hibernate when you're feeling low. When it comes to bringing positive change to your life, don't try to move mountains. Baby steps are definitely the way forward. For example, if you'd like to lose weight, don't set yourself up to fail with unrealistic goals. Be kind to yourself and remember that slow and steady wins the race.Have you ever written a list of your positive features or asked your friends to do the same? It's a great exercise, and it might just surprise you. As a Harmonizer, it's important to learn to trust your intuition and to know that everything will work out for the best. Learn to say yes to new experiences from time to time. Your confidence and self-belief will continue to grow. Sometimes a challenge or a change of scene could be just what you need.Remember you are not alone. It's important to allow yourself to share the journey of life with those who love you. Stay open to your nearest and dearest and make sure you grab quality family time whenever you can, as it's a great source of strength and inspiration for you.

Emma-ism

Emma lost interest in sign language early on, but now that Parker is 'up to bat' I've started practicing again. The other day I signed to Emma 'I love you'

She stopped what she was doing and with great interest asked me to show her how to do that.

Once mastered, she exclaimed with great excitement: "Now I can be like Spiderman!"

Redneck Wednesday

A very nice lady introduced herself to me at church on Sunday. She said her name and pointed out her husband. She than said,

"I hope you don't think we're stalkers, we just wanted to see where you lived so my husband and I followed you home last week and it looked like you saw us right as you were getting gout of the car, hehe."

I tried my best to smile and nod and say (in all honestly) "Well I didn't notice." I hope my face hid what I was really thinking: 'Holy Cow, you're so small town that you followed me home and proceed to admit it upon introduction?!'

Remodeling

Remodeling in a home always takes longer, cost more, and pushes your limits more than you anticipate. We bought this house because it was affordable and met our families needs, and when I say affordable I mean it's a dumb.

However, one of my favorite qualities in my husband is his ability to see something for what it can BECOME not what it currently is-such as this house. He's been applying his mad skills to our master bathroom whenever he has a spare moment (which is incredibly rare).

Before the move from SLC to CC probably the top mentioned reason for continuing through the stress was two bathrooms. That's two toilets people-BIG DEAL. I didn't have to share my space all the time with Emma: no potty chair, no sharing make-up brushes, no toothpaste in the sink, no long waits when you've had too much orange juice in the morning, no bath toys everywhere...

The moment we got to CC (I mean before I even unpacked my socks and knickerbockers) we demolished the existing master bathroom and have gone to work, but I don't have mad skills like my hubby and he is working ALL.THE.TIME. That means I've been down to one toilet the moment we moved, one toilet when two was the reason I moved in the first place!

Alas, I decided to post a couple of pictures of our current progress to remind myself of how awesome my bathroom makeover will be: Think quiet, calm, kid-free, and ocean get-away

Redneck Wednesday

It seems Shane's job is big news (naturally, who wouldn't want to be involved with the new helicopter pilot in town). That being said I had my first visitor a few weeks back. She was the wife of one of the local law-enforcement officers. They heard our family was here and she found out where we lived and stopped by to introduce herself etc...redneck wednesday post right there if you ask me, but ultimately not what I was hoping to share today.

She was telling me a story: during the freezing storm we had (-20 degrees average lows) her neighbor regrettably lost a horse and a dog to the cold...SERIOUSLY, a HORSE and DOG. Wow, I used to worry about the frost getting to my tomato plants, but animals? Naturally, this lady's neighbor could very well have been neglectful, it might not be all that common to have your animals die but none-the-less, the very nature of the topic is redneck!

Oh and here's a view from outside my kitchen window:

Milk Man

Parker was perusing the house in Shane's arms and looked so similar to his sister. I found a photo to compare:

Parker (January 29, 2013)
Emma (Sept 5, 2009)

No question of a milk man here, at least to me, the Mother, they look just like each other, and just like Oldfield's.
