It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!
My family had the opportunity to visit Baby Max for his baby blessing. I didn't get a single picture of the blessing (silly me forgot the camera). But we had an excellent time, the spirit was strong, Maxwell looked great, the food was fantastic and the company even better.
While in Utah we took a little family time to visit Temple Square and see the beautiful Christmas lights. This is one of my favorite places to be. I love to feel the spirit of Christmas and remember the reason for the season!

All bundled up! Emma LOVED it, she loved snuggling in her blankets, she loved wearing socks on her hands, she loved the brisk air while looking and the pretty 'kwismas twees'
Emma, some day I believe you will bring your children to this beautiful place, please remember your Mom and Dad know the temple is a House of God, that God is a loving Heavenly Father, and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the Good News.

Gratitude
I want to remember some of the sweet little moments. Yesterday Emma said her first prayer. She INSISTED that it was her turn and she wanted help so we helped her say family bedtime prayer.
I'm grateful for my faith in a Father in Heaven who loves me and cares for me. I'm also grateful for a family to share this faith with. I'm so humbled at the experiences that remind me, what I do as a parent matters for better or for worse. I hope to remember to always teach my children that prayer is important that there is a Father in Heaven who listens and cares.
Happy Thanksgiving, we each have something to be grateful for.

Getting Cold in Vegas
This is my Emma, she is experimenting with dressing herself and picking her own clothes. I suppose it's getting colder around here because she picked tennis shoes and a hat instead of sandals and a hair bow.
I'm really loving that tie-dye with the stripes, oh my cute Peanut.

A Private Blog
So I'm seriously considering making my blog private. I'm not one to live by stats, I don't actually thing the Blogger stats are accurate. However, I can't deny that when weird links pop up to show they are looking at your blog more than 40 times a week...I'm not ok with that. I started religiously looking at my stats about a month ago when I noticed URLs were checking things out, URLs I didn't recognize (URLs are simply link addresses if you're wondering Mom). They have not stopped.
I blog for the grandparents, I'm more than happy to share my thoughts with my friends and other family, but some of these links don't look like family! If I choose to go private, I'll let you know.
Do any of you recognize these links?

One more reason i LOVE my Kitchen-Aid
I learned on my awesome girls trip that I can shred cooked chicken breast in the Kitchen-Aid! IN THE KITCHEN-AID!! No more killing your hands with a fork in each hating yourself for picking a meal that required shredded anything.
Yes I'm aware that you can shred them in a Crock-pot too but seriously, who thinks that far in advance and still has to rip that meat with forks?
Anyway, give it a try:
make sure your chicken is cooked and still warm is best. I threw mine in minutes after taking them off the grill. I used speed 4 and 6 (for some reason my chicken went Kamikaze at that speed so I also put a clean dish towel over the opening to keep it all in the bowl).
Good luck!

Oh and just so you know I used this recipe if you're looking for something new and DELICIOUS to try:
Natasha’s Lime Enchiladas
green taco sauce (La Victoria, 1-2 bottles depending on how many you are making)
1/4 cilantro sprigs, chopped
2 T fresh lime juice
3 garlic cloves
2 cups chopped cooked chicken (4-6 chicken breasts)
mozarella cheese
flour tortillas (6-8")
extra limes to garnish
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place green sauce, cilantro, lime juice, garlic cloves in a food processor or blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds. Set 1/2 aside. Pour a little into the bottom of pan, spread out thin. Mix 1/2 of sauce with chicken and 1/2-3/4 cup cheese. Spoon 1/4 cup mixture into each tortilla. Roll tortillas. Line in pan. Pour remaining sauce evenly over enchiladas. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered 20-25 minutes.

Happy Birthday to You!
My sweet Shane,
today is your birthday and just like everything else that involves celebrating you, you shrug it off like it's no big deal. I want you to know your family loves you!
You are a strong individual, capable of conquering your goals and making your dreams a reality. You are full of determination and driven by love for your wife and daughter.
You work SO hard, while searching for a recent picture of you (for this silly blog) I had to go back months, just because you are currently unable to spend the amount of time with your family that you would like because you are busy doing your job. Your family loves how hard you work and we learn from that example.
You make me laugh, hardly a day goes by that we don't laugh about something together; I hope that never changes.
I'm sure this is only embarrassing you so I'll stop, but know I could go on and on. We love you Mr. Man-Happy Birthday!
