Called to Serve Him:

It's been a long day but I can't help but think about some of my greatest and hardest times:

Five years ago today I entered the MTC in Provo and took upon me the Name of Christ literally. I still remember how hard it was to call myself Sister Succo. However I still remember how hard it was to give up that tag. I keep that missionary badge on my fridge now. And although I don't mention it out load often, I think about those short 18 months everyday.
There is not ONE part of my life (good and bad) that has not been touched by my experiences. My soul longs for those experiences again. I still remember some of the hard days, the long days, and the like. But my heart aches for those good days, fabulous moments, and unforgettable feelings. I don't have a lot of my pictures scanned but here are just a few that I already have on the computer to download.
Hey Paco, remember: stuck in a rut!
I KNOW that Jesus is the Christ, it takes a constantly open heart to feel that. I share that I know obedience brings blessings. When you choose the right you will be happy. I know that we are God's children and He loves us. It's my testimony that He knows who we are.

One thing I told my investigators often: God is our Loving Heavenly Father, He sent us here to Earth to Learn and Change and He did not send us here to fail.

5 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Gate:

Well this household all has pretty bad sniffles so things have been moving slow. However, there was still time for crafting, costume making, and trunk-or-treat at the church.

It was a little chilly so we put on her new hat and mittens!

Primary was tough today. Shane had to work and the kids were all hyped on yesterday's candy and my headache is on the cusp of a migraine. I had to leave singing time to 'walk the baby' just to get away from the noise.

Our lesson was on the Sacrament and how remembering Jesus is the most important part of partaking the sacrament. I made mini bread loaves to please the masses:

1. Parents who are hoping their kids will get NO MORE candy
2. Primary children that are hoping to get a treat because it's Halloween

In spite of a tired sad baby and a pounding head the lesson went well and there were very thoughtful and meaningful questions about why women don't get the priesthood, why we take the sacrament with our right hand, and why we take the bread and water every week.
All in all a nice weekend, Happy Halloween!

You're never fully dressed without a Smile:

I've let Emma pick her own clothes out lately, she's very interested in clothing and how they go on and off.
Her Favorites: Hats, Shoes, and Headbands

Recently I've taken to hiding Emma's shoes during nap time, it's tiresome to put shoes on and off, on and off...

Ah EEE OOO, Killer Tofu:

A little flashback for those of you who watched Doug the cartoon.

Emma has a hard time eating meat, she doesn't care for it much. Granted she'll eat anything off my plate if I'm eating it but even than it's only a bite or two of protein rich meat.

I decided to buy some tofu that I could mix into some of Emma's meals. I shared some tofu infected eggs and toast yesterday for breakfast...gross, yuck, disgusting.
I won't eat tofu again, at least not unless somebody has a trick that can disguise that awful flavor. I'm happy sticking to protein shakes and cottage cheese and the like. Emma however, is fine as long as she doesn't realize it's there!

Catch a Wave and You're Sitting on Top of the World

Spent a little time in (supposed to be) Sunny California with family earlier this week. We rather enjoyed ourselves. We didn't have the time to go to Disneyland but we did visit Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier.

Enjoy a few pics:

Fly like an Eagle:

My Shane has the best job ever! Here are some pictures he was able to take just the other day:

This is Shane's Desk: forget the pencil, these are important life saving devices

Notice the two different types of aircraft:
The one with a cheerio looking blade in the rear is an 'EC' but I'm not sure what that actually stands for

This dolphin looking one is an A-Star (p.s. checkout that CRAZY weather in the background, talk about a bumpy ride)
Yes, green can be found in the desert, you just need a helicopter to get to it
No that's not Willie Wonka's chocolate river, no drinking allowed
