The Good Life

Happy Friday everybody, I'm happy to report that my handsome husband is safe and sound in spite of being in the hot zone of Texas on Wednesday night (tornados). Needless to say that was a long and sleepless night.

Now just for the sake of cuteness here is an eighteen second glimpse into my life. Just a normal day pretending to be bears.

Trees

I was taking some pictures of the two trees in our backyard and it quickly turned into taking pictures of little miss:

Look at the cute little leaves budding out, oh and that gorgeous Utah sky.

Redneck Wednesday: Lawn Mower

Why don't rednecks own a lawn mower?

                      Because they own a goat!

Please note the difference in [green] grass just right of the goat pen: tall, out of control, and untouched.

Happy Mothers Day to Me!

I had a great day Saturday. We celebrated with love notes, surprises, good food, great laughs, and glorious time together. 

Shane and I enjoyed an afternoon in St. George at the temple too, I didn't even have to call the babysitter!

I love this family of mine, the ones that are providing me the opportunity to be a Mom.

While we were away the babysitter took it upon herself to 'interview' and record Emma with Mother's day questions. I just love what was said:

How old is Mom?

I don't know

What color is Mom's hair?

Brown

Why does Mom love Dad?

Cuz they got married

Why did they get married?

Cuz they had to

When is Mom funny?

When she laughs!

What is best about Mom?

I really love her so much!

What does Mom Eat?

Tatoes & Chicken Nuggets!

What does Mom Love?

ME!

What does Mom like to do?

Play with me, I know that she loves me & really likes me!

 Those that know my daughter doesn't eat food will understand the significance of these pictures:

Spaghetti was dipped like french fries into both apple sauce and red sauce.

It was consumed without any hesitation, no complaints even.

Action was repeated again and again and again!

Redneck Wednesday: Radio

Well you know you're a redneck when your radio pre-sets are based on location vs. personal taste. There are only 4 or 5 actual radio stations and only 2 come in strong at a time.


So I listen to the radio based on what side of town I'm in, not by genre.

Good thing I like country!

Redneck Wednesday

While driving down 'The Highway' I noticed an old gasoline pump in the middle of some dude's field. It made me giggle imagining some farmers in an old Ford pick-up bumping along the pasture years ago to fill up on gas while out feeding the cows etc. You have to admit it does appear out of place:

In the middle of a field?!

Yup, a gas pump, literally in the middle of no-where.

And just for the sake of remembering:

Shane is working on our garden (more on that later). The neighbor's horse keeps coming over to see what Shane is up to.

Shane says to the horse today: "You're my favorite neighbor, just so you know." 

I'm not sure Shane knew I was listening.
